Any anecdotes about ways that life changed in 1967 (besides the blessed event of our births?) Here are a couple:
Today, while going through archived records in my firm's office, I discovered that U.S.P.S. zip codes as we know them began in 1967. Prior to this MONUMENTAL year, an address consisted of street number and name, town or city, a one- or two-digit local postal code and the fully spelled out or abbreviated state name:
Peter Jacques
1122 Boogie Woogie Ave.
San Francisco 45, California
Also, while doing research on a recent school project , I found that it was in 1967 that the Federal Supreme Court ruled all miscegenation laws (outlawing marriage between races) null and void. The landmark case was aptly named Loving v. State of Virgina. At the time of this ruling, there were 16 states that considered interracial marriage a crime.
Please post anything of interest you know about or find!

we were all born and the world became full of fantastic peoples!!
to me, its like the beginning of cross cultures (like im half american half turkish) which makes us unique!!
i think we were the last generation to truly have new and unexplored territories in art, technology, sex, .............
after that everything seemed so, already been there, done that.
